The Trad Arts Team has reduced its number and range of events in recent years, but there are still plenty of performances and sessions for you to enjoy. Some of these are with partner organisations like Handsworth Socials who are playing to packed houses. So come along to join us either as a participant or an audience.

Birmingham Folk Workshop with Ricardo Santos Rocha

Ricardo Santos Rocha is a Portuguese multi-instrumentalist and composer. In this workshop, he’ll be using the diatonic accordion (melodeon) to share a few tunes, traditional dance rhythms and idiosyncratic aspects of the repertoire from Portugal, Galicia and Basque Country.
